Dinesh Rokaya received his BDS from the People’s Dental College (2009), a combined Graduate Diploma-Master in Maxillofacial Prosthetics from the Mahidol University (2015), & PhD in Dental Biomaterials Science from the Chulalongkorn University (2019). Subsequently, he completed 1-year Postdoc from Chulalongkorn University in 2020. He received the Dean’s List Award from Mahidol University & the 100th Anniversary Scholarship from Chulalongkorn University. Then, he obtained the MFDS from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2019 & the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2020.
He is currently a Lecturer at Walailak University International College of Dentistry, Bangkok, Thailand. He teaches dental students (DDS & MSc) & also supervises master’s degree thesis. His research & teaching areas are focused on prosthetic dentistry, maxillofacial prosthetics, maxillofacial rehabilitation, esthetic dentistry, digital dentistry, dental biomaterials, & polymeric biomaterials. To date, he has published 80 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 8 book chapters, & 1 book. His publications have gathered over 640 citations (h-index 13).
He has presented his research papers at numerous national & international dental conferences. He is an Academic Editor of the Journal of Healthcare Engineering (Hindawi Publishing). He also holds guest editorial positions in reputed international journals such as Molecules, International Journal of Dentistry, The Open Dentistry Journal, & Signa Vitae. He is a reviewer of many journals including 2D Materials, Journal of Molecular Structure, Antibiotics, Journal of Prosthodontics, Saudi Dental Journal, European Journal of Dentistry, Journal of Advanced Oral Research, Journal of International Oral Health, & Case Reports in Dentistry.
He is an active member of the International Association of Dental Research, International Society of Maxillofacial Rehabilitation, European Prosthodontics Association, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, Royal College of Surgeons of England, & Faculty of General Dental Practitioner of UK. He is also a life member of the Nepal Dental Association & Nepal Medical Association.
