  Activities of the AAMP have led to the recognition and CPT-4 codification for Maxillofacial Prosthetic procedures at a national level and the AAMP has maintained a prominent level of interaction to achieve recognition for maxillofacial prosthetic procedures on the behalf of the patient. In recent years the Academy has sponsored a variety of workshops and an international symposium to define the scope, the parameters of care and promote education and research in Maxillofacial Prosthetics.
