An Affiliate Fellow of the Academy in good standing who has reached the age of 65 may request in writing, through the Executive Secretary, a change in status from Affiliate Fellow to Life Affiliate Fellow category. Approval must be granted by the Board of Directors.

Qualifications are as follows:

1. Affiliate Life Fellow as one who has fulfilled the following qualifications:
a) active membership in the AAMP for 25 consecutive years and
b) has reached the age of 65
c) has retired, though may retain some limited, compensated participation in dentistry

Affiliate Life Fellows do not pay dues. They also receive the same benefits as Affiliate Fellows (with the exception of journal subscription access).
