69th Annual AAMP Program Chair’s Message
Dear Colleagues,
Our last AAMP meeting in person (2019) took place in Miami, Florida, where we re-acquainted with old friends and met enthusiastic new members of our academy over an excellent scientific program. After two years of virtual scientific education due to the COVID pandemic, I am confident that everyone is looking forward to interacting in person again at this year’s 69th AAMP annual meeting in Austin, Texas.
The theme for this year’s meeting is “Treatment Longevity for ?the ?Maxillofacial Prosthetic Patient”. We are hosting 23 invited speakers, 3 industrial presentations, 3 workshops and our interactive poster session. We will continue to give our current maxillofacial fellows from our North American training centers an opportunity to give a brief 15-minute presentation. This year we have invited our Past AAMP Presidents to moderate 6 sessions: Intra-oral “Rehabilitation I & II”, “Facial Prosthesis”, “Dental Oncology”, “Maxillofacial Prosthodontic Fellows” and “Our Past and Future”. It is a program that promises to present innovation and relevancy for our clinical practices.
Finally, I would like to personally thank the program committee, the speakers who have generously accepted our invitation to speak, moderators for each session, participants, and our sponsors who have generously donated and participated in this year’s annual session. Without all of you, this year’s meeting would not be possible.
Looking forward to seeing all of you in Austin!
Sincerely,
Alvin G. Wee, DDS, PhD, MPH
