Dear Fellows and Guests:

After careful consideration of the ongoing spread of COVID-19, the AAMP Officers and Board of Directors has decided to cancel the 2020 Annual Meeting in New Orleans, November 1 – 3, 2020.  We arrived at this difficult decision after consulting with fellows, speakers and sponsors, and gathering information from the Centers for Disease Control. Ultimately, the global nature of our meeting, rapidly escalating health concerns regarding the Coronavirus, and ongoing travel and other restrictions made it impossible for us to hold the meeting at this time.

COVID-19 has turned our world upside down. We have been impacted in many ways including our personal lives, practice and research and educational environments. While disappointing, there is a relief that we were able to make the correct decision for the AAMP. The board of directors has been most thoughtful throughout this entire decision making process and has worked tirelessly to pursue the best options for the AAMP.

We will have our annual business meeting and officer installation this year on Saturday, October 31 at 10 am EST through an online platform.  The officers and the board are also working on creating a series of online webinars as a replacement for our annual scientific session. There will be more to follow.

I hope you are all staying safe and healthy during this unprecedented pandemic. I look forward to seeing all of you in person in the near future.
